Creating the configuration object for the PI inbound interface

USE:

Follow the steps below to create a configuration object for PI Inbound Interface. This type of testing allows testing a flow in which a message is processed through PI,
enters SAP Backend and triggers the creation of a business document like Sales Order, Purchase Invoice, Material Movement, and others.

 PROCEDURE:

  1. Create a new object definition with description, name, and the namespace of the tested interface

  2. In Variables define variables names and descriptions.
  3. In Variable Processingdefine actions and variable processors that will process each of the variable's data.
  4. In Database Comparison Rules define Table Names of those tables that should be compared.
  5. In Selection Criteria define how IFTT should locate those tables, e.g., by a reference to which value.
  6. In Comparison Details define a set of fields to be compared and rules to be applied.
  7. Define Additional Parameters
  8. Define Number Ranges that can be used, e.g., to generate values for messages created after the test case execution.

For more details about XPaths, go to the Object Definition page.
